Since then, the US and the Soviet Union, and other states, began an arms race that, to this day, has never ceased. Agreements and talks to reduce nuclear weapons have been put in place, but many have been failing in recent years. What have we learned in 75-years? Is the world safer from nuclear danger? We asked Daryl Kimball, Executive Director, Arms Control Association, for his insights.
