Love Lives On is a fact-based TV film that aired on ABC on April 1, 1985.
The film centers around a 15 year old, played by Mary Stuart Masterson, who kicks a drug addiction, then learns that she has cancer and is pregnant and that her unborn child has only a slim chance of survival.
The film's composer and lyricist, James Di Pasquale and Douglas Brayfield, won the 1985 Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music and Lyrics.
