Frank is sent on a case of another abducted child, but during a skermish with a suspect named Simon (who Frank is forced to kill to save himself) Frank is left on the brink of death. Following his recovery, he learns that he can receive messages from beyond the grave, from kind spirits who wish to help him solve his cases. But the spirit of the man he killed, Simon, will stop at nothing to make sure some of these messages never reach Frank...
