WAI asks to have a word with PING at a shabby temple, during which he reveals how the KAMs have been framed by the Turks. The Turkic assassinators come up suddenly and have a terrible fight with the Tibetan army in the middle of the street. YEUNG and TAK get caught and locked up in a disused monastery on the hill. YEUNG reveals to TAK that the KAMs are still alive and that the whole thing is planned in advance by the Emperor and TONGTSAN. YEUNG finds quite a number of Buddhist books around. Left with nothing else to do, she starts to make paper dragonflies with the books and throws them out of the window one by one. After a long period of hunger and thirst, YEUNG becomes so weak that she begins to have hallucinations……
