Back home, Amalia's illness impacts her children- Itamar, her son, is consumed by Googling medical facts and statistics, while Ella contemplates proceeding with her pregnancy, despite her parents' objections. Micah's attempt to keep things business as usual is derailed when he finds out his deputy is undermining his authority, while his daughter wants to cut short her South American trip and return home. In the hospital, Amalia and Micah find themselves alone in the chemotherapy room, and their relationship takes a personal turn.
