The operation is successful and SHAN is thrilled to bits. FUNG takes SHAN’s advice and stops fooling around. WAI is discharged from hospital. He takes SHAN to where he got injured, and expresses his love for her. SHAN, however, turns him down. A car passes and deliberately runs over WAI and SHAN. TUNG believes that SHAN is the target of attack and NIN is suspected of being involved in the plot. FUNG discovers that NIN is holding the money that is allocated to the fund. This makes FUNG even more suspicious of NIN. SHAN is kidnapped from the hospital. WAI blames himself for having not protected SHAN and letting her suffer.
