The Black Arrow is a 1972 British television series starring Simon Cuff as Richard Shelton, Dorothea Phillips as Mistress Hatch and Gordon Rollings as Father Oates. Based on the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, The Black Arrow tells the tale of Richard Shelton, a knight who avenges the death of his father during the War of the Roses. Richard is surrounded by enemies, some of whom he considers his most trusted companions. The Black Arrow also stars William Squire, John Sanderson and Robin Langford.
