FUNG notices that MING has got a perfume bottle, which makes him believe that MING is involved in PUI’s case. FUNG tries but fails to persuade WEI, MING’s wife, to testify against MING. MING believes that TUNG will testify against him and thus goes to the hospital. On his way he meets CHI and he mocks CHI intentionally. MING has killed TUNG. He has no place to hide and finally agrees to reveal the truth. But soon afterwards, he finds that he was being hypnotized and he insists that what has been said while under hypnosis should not be taken as formal statements.
