Gladys recognises the victim as someone she met briefly in Lille, and from clues she is able to provide Sardou locates the victim's lodgings and identifies her. Meanwhile Gladys befriends Garvie's wife, Annabelle.
The dead girl worked at a health club fronted by former tennis star 'Raz' Matasse. However when Cecile talks to an artist friend of hers she learns that the club is in fact a high class brothel and the girl was working as a prostitute. However by the time Sardou goes to interview the artist, the man has already been murdered.
Gladys, Trevor and Cecile investigate the health club and at first all goes well, but then they are all taken prisoner while snooping around and it is left to Sardou and his men to effect a dramatic rescue, which also results in the arrest of one of Sardou's senior colleagues.
