HIN refuses to be crowned but TIN keeps putting pressure on him, which makes him finally give in. As instructed by TIN, HIN has got the notorious TSO and SAM-SZE knighted, which irks KAM immensely. TIN plans to find HIN a wife but HIN rejects the idea, which makes her realize he is in love with SZE. She then goes to warn SZE not to see HIN again. SZE has arranged a farewell gathering with HIN so that they will have a chance to meet again and discuss how to fight against TIN. KAM sneaks into the Royal Temple to see HIN, who is attending a memorial service for his ancestors. He begs HIN to release SHAN while TIN orders HIN to have SHAN executed at once. HIN is strongly opposed to killing SHAN, so TIN, though reluctantly, has to give up……
