Fairy Tok Shui is demoted to become a human as a punishment for his breaking the rules in heaven. He becomes a gambler called Lam Shui, who loses every time he gambles. He makes a living by cheating people on the streets with his adopted son, Ting Sun. Sun often buys flowers to please his girlfriend, Tian Man Lei, and thus becomes friends with Mei, who is now the owner of a florist shop. Mei is touched by Sun’s devotion to his girlfriend and falls in love with him. Shui always encourages Sun to woo Mei as he thinks Mei is rich. However, Sun only loves Man Lei.
